1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and identification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of polyester filament for industry.
This standard is applicable to the polyester filament for industry with a linear density of 140~9 000dtex and serves as a reference for other polyester filament for industry.

sum of the elongation and dry heat shrinkage of fiber at a load of 4.0cN/dtex

high-tenacity (HT) polyester filament for industry
polyester filament for industry with breaking tenacity not less than 7.40cN/dtex
3.3
ultra-high-tenacity (UHT) polyester filament for industry
polyester filament for industry with breaking tenacity not less than 8.20cN/dtex
3.4
high-tenacity medium-shrinkage (HTMS) polyester filament for industry
polyester filament for industry with dry heat shrinkage (test conditions: 177℃, 10mim; pretension: 0.05cN/dtex) above 4.0% but not exceeding 6.0% and breaking tenacity not less than 7.40cN/dtex

high-tenacity low-shrinkage polyester (HTLS) filament for industry
polyester filament for industry with dry heat shrinkage (test conditions: 177℃, 10mim; pretension: 0.05cN/dtex) not exceeding 2.5% and breaking tenacity not less than 6.60cN/dtex
