本标准代替ＧＢ／Ｔ１７１０—１９７９《颜料耐光性测定法》。本标准规定了对同类型着色颜料耐光性比较的通用试验方法。本标准与ＧＢ／Ｔ１７１０—１９７９相比，主要技术差异为：
———本标准６．１中采用“有关双方商定的参照颜料与试样的耐光性比较试验”，原标准仅对试样进行耐光性试验；
———本标准４．７中在天然曝晒法中增加了对玻璃的透射率要求，并规定了玻璃的最长使用时间；
———本标准在４．８人造日光曝晒法中增加了对设备和光源的具体技术要求，原标准仅规定使用功率为１．５ｋＷ 的日晒牢度机；
———本标准用商定的基料（介质）、分散体组成及分散方法制备试样和商定的参照颜料的分散体，原标准则对试样和试板的制备均作了具体规定；
———本标准增加了“将商定参照颜料的变化量等于灰度色标的４级和３级坚牢度时对试样进行结果的评定”；
