Introduction of GB/T 1723-1993

This standard specifies the methods for determination of viscosity of coatings with Paint-1 & Paint-4 viscometers and falling sphere viscometer. The Paint-1 viscometer in this Standard is applicable to the determination of coating products with flow time not less than 20s; The Paint-4 viscometer is applicable to the determination of coating with flow time within 150s; while the falling sphere viscometer is applicable to the determination of transparent coating products with higher viscosity. This Standard is applicable to the determination of coating semi-finished products with similar viscosity and other relevant products.
