Paints and varnishes – Determination of heat resistance 1 Scope This document specifies a method for determining the changes in appearance and properties of the single coating or composite coating systems of paints, varnishes and related products, after being subjected to a test procedure with specified or agreed temperature and duration. This document is applicable to paints, varnishes and related products with heat resistance requirements. 2 Normative references The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. If specified, perform tests (including impact resistance, bend test (cylindrical mandrel), cross-cut test or other agreed tests) on the panels, both subjected and not subjected to heat resistance test, and verify compliance with the specified requirements.
