1 Scope
This document specifies the classification and name, structural feature code and usage code, as well as model compilation method for special motor vehicles and special trailers.
This document is applicable to special motor vehicles and special trailers running on roads, on account of their design, manufacture and technical characteristics.
This document does not apply to special vehicles for civil airports, module unit vehicles and hydraulic suspension trailers.

For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.

special motor vehicle
motor vehicle which, on account of its design, manufacture and technical characteristics, is intended for carrying specific personnel and special goods (including loading parts with special structures), or equipped with special devices for engineering special operations (including health care) or for special purposes

special purpose passenger car
specially designed passenger car, or passenger car subsequently manufactured and modified on the basis of saloon car, sport utility vehicle, off-road passenger car and multi-purpose vehicles, which is mainly used to carry specific personnel, and has special body and/or equipment required for achieving specific function

special bus
bus which, on account of its design, manufacture and technical characteristics, is intended for carrying specific personnel and performing specific functions, as well as special motor vehicle equipped with special equipment or appliances and having more than 9 seats (including the driving seat), also including special passenger vehicle modified on the basis of buses but not belonging to special operation vehicle

specialized goods vehicle
goods vehicle which, on account of its design, manufacture and technical characteristics, is intended for carrying special goods or has a special structure at the loading part

special operation vehicle
vehicle which is equipped with special equipment or appliances, and, on account of its design, manufacture and technical characteristics, is intended for engineering special (including health care) operations
Note: Excluding special motor vehicles for operation (other than fire fighting vehicle and police vehicle) equipped with special equipment or appliances and having more than 9 seats, including the driving seat.
