This document specifies the dimensions, shape, masses and tolerances of steel tubes.
This document is applicable to the selection of dimensions, shape, masses and tolerances when formulating standards for circular steel tubes for various purposes.

For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 30062 apply.
4 Dimensions and specifications
4.1 Outside diameter
Except for the nominal outside diameter (D) of precision steel tubes, which is not divided into series, the nominal outside diameters of the rest of the steel tubes are divided into three series such as Series 1, Series 2 and Series 3. Series 1 is a general-purpose series, which is recommended for selection; Series 2 is a non-general-purpose series; and Series 3 is a series of a few special, specialized steel tubes.
4.2 Outside diameter and wall thickness
The nominal outside diameter and nominal wall thickness (S) of ordinary steel tube is shown in Table 1 (S ≤ 65 mm) and Table 2 (S > 65 mm); the nominal outside diameter and nominal wall thickness of precision steel tube are shown in Table 3; the nominal outside diameter and nominal wall thickness of stainless steel pipe are shown in Table 4.
