1 Scope
This Part of GB/T 17431 specifies the general requirements and sampling for test methods for lightweight aggregates as well as the test methods for grain composition (sieve analysis), bulk density, apparent density, void ratio, intensity of cylinder pressure, intensity label, water absorption, softening coefficient, grain shape coefficient, silt and clay lump content, mass loss on boiling, loss on ignition, sulfide and sulfate content, organic content, etc.
This Part is applicable to the quality inspection of lightweight aggregates used for concrete. Other types of lightweight aggregates and those for other purposes may make reference to this Part.
