1. Scope
This standard specifies the requirement , inspection regulation , packing and labeling for raw silk inskein or on cone.
This standard is applicable to the unsoaked raw silk with a nominal size of 69 denier and below.

3 Expression of raw silk size
Raw silk size is marked with lower and upper size limit.Thus its central value is nominal size.
EXAMPLE
a) 20/22 denier: indicates that the nominal size is 21 denier , the lower size limit is 20 denier and the upper size limit is 22 denier.
b)40/44 denier: indicates that the nominal size is 42 denier , the lower size limit is 40 denier and the upper size limit is 44 denier.
4 Requirements
4.1 The quality of raw silk is classified to grade 6A,5A,4A,3A.2A，A and Asub(below grade A)based on the results of the quality requirements and appearance evaluation.
