1 Scope
This standard specifies the methods and basic requirements for field efficacy plot trial for the herbicide against weeds in no-crop field.
This standard is applicable to the field efficacy plot trials and efficacy evaluation registered for herbicides against weeds in no-crop field, including industrial areas, warehouses, railways, sidewalks, and other lands where no weeds are desired, in order to control all weeds (but with road boundaries, parks and sports ground excluded). Other field efficacy trials shall be carried out in reference to this standard.
2 Trial conditions
2.1 Selection of crops and cultivars
None.
2.2 Selection of weeds as the trial subject
In the no-crop field under trial, there shall be the representative weed population, uniformly distributed, and the weed colony must be composed of the weeds consistent with those listed in herbicide controlling spectrum (annual and perennial grass, sedge and broadleaf grass), with their Chinese names and Latin names recorded.
2.3 Environmental conditions
All conditions in all trial plots must be uniform.
Record any type of herbicides used before or after.
3 Trial design and arrangement
3.1 Pesticides
3.1.1 Trial pesticide
Indicate the trade name/code, Chinese name, generic name, dosage form content and the manufacturer of the trial pesticide. The trial pesticide shall be applied in no less than three dosages, or according to the agreement (the trial agreement signed between the trial entrusting party and the trial undertaker).
3.1.2 Control pesticide
The control pesticide must be a product that has been registered and is fairly safe and efficacious in practice. The type and mode of application of the control pesticide shall be similar to those of the trial pesticide and the local usual dosage and treatment method shall be used, which may be determined by the purpose of the trial in special case. Blank control treatment shall be arranged.
