Low-speed vehicle - Seat systems - Strength requirements and test methods
1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, strength requirements and test methods of seat systems (hereinafter referred to as seats) of low-speed vehicle.
This standard is applicable to the seats and their fixing devices of low-speed vehicle, and serves as a reference for three-wheeled vehicles.
This standard is not applicable to collapsible additional seats, side-facing seats and simple seats that do not meet the requirements of seat definition.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
seat
seat assembly with the cushion and backrest connected into a whole by the framework and detachable from the vehicle body
3.2
adjustment system
system by which the seat or its components can be adjusted to fit for the occupant, which generally includes the functions of longitudinal position adjustment, vertical position adjustment and angle adjustment
3.3
limiting device
device for limiting or adjusting the forward flipping of the seat or backrest on a collapsible seat or hinged seat
