1 Scope This part specifies the test method for evaluating gasoline detergent produced effect for electronic port fuel injector (PFI) fouling. This part is applicable to the evaluation of gasoline detergent, vehicle gasoline and its component oil on the detergency of electronic port fuel injector (PFI). Note: This test method is only applicable to evaluate the deposit control performance of gasoline detergent in the top area of the electronic port fuel injector. 2 Normative references The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this part. For dated references, subsequent amendments to (excluding correction to), or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. However, parties to agreements based on this part are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the standards indicated below.
