本标准代替GB/T 19559-2004《煤层气含量测定方法》。
本标准规定了煤芯样品的煤层气含量测定方法。
本标准适用于煤炭和煤层气勘探中获取的烟煤和无烟煤煤芯样品的煤层气含量测定，褐煤煤芯样品的煤层气含量测定参考执行。
本标准修订内容如下：
———标准状态下气体体积校正的温度修定为0℃，压力101.325kPa；
———气样采集时间，修订在解吸的第1、3、5天进行；
———增加快速气含量测定方法。
