本标准规定了测量手臂系统为负载时弹性材料的振动传递率的方法。本方法适用工具有线性特性的所有材料。在大多数弹性泡沫材料和橡胶材料中都可使用本方法，暂时也可以用于编织材料。本方法可用于混合系统，例如带有泡沫或橡胶基板的编织材料。这种实验室测试的结果可用于筛选工具手柄减振和手套使用的材料。本方法能实现对手套的材料进行分级，但未必能预测用这些材料制作的手套的传递率(手套振动传递率的测量见GB/T 18703—2002手套掌部振动传递率的测量与评价)。
