This standard was proposed by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Standardization Technical Committee Chlor-alkali Chemical Branch (SAC/TC 63/SC 6). This standard was first issued in 1963, revised for the first time in 1984, revised for the second time in 1993 and revised for the third time in 2006. Sodium hydroxide for industrial use Warning——The process of production, transportation, loading and unloading, storage, transportation and use of products specified in this standard may be hazardous if appropriate precautions are not observed. This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with the product. It is the responsibility of the users of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use. 1 Scope This standard specifies the requirements, sampling, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of sodium hydroxide for industrial use.
