本标准为首次制定。本标准规定了危险品包装气密性试验的设备、检验数量、试验步骤及试验报告。本标准适用于危险品包装的气密性检测，以及对拟包装货物须要气密封口的包装容器进行检验。 本标准不适用于：
———盛装放射性物质的运输包装；
———盛装压缩气体和液化气体的压力容器的包装；
———净重超过４００ｋｇ的包装；
———容积超过４５０Ｌ 的包装。 本标准对应于联合国《关于危险货物运输的建议书　规章范本》，与其一致性程度为非等效。其有关技术内容与上述手册完全一致，在标准文本格式上按ＧＢ／Ｔ１．１—２０００做了编辑性修改。
