随着全球气候变化，我国的极端天气气候事件在增加，农作物生长受高温危害日趋加重。为了对农作物因受高温危害而做的灾害监测、预警、评估和灾后采取的防灾减灾措施，本标准统一和规范主要农作物因受高温危害的温度指标。 本标准规定了水稻、冬小麦、玉米、棉花、油菜受高温危害的温度指标。
本标准适用于农业气象灾害监测、预警、评估，农业生产、科研和其他相关领域。
