本标准代替GB/T 15725.3-1995 《实验室玻璃仪器 广口烧瓶》。
本标准规定了广口烧瓶的分类、结构类型、规格尺寸和结构设计、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则及标志、包装、运输和贮存。
本标准适用于实验室用玻璃广口烧瓶。
本标准与GB/T 15725.3-1995 相比主要变化是：增加了内表面耐水性能、耐酸性能（光谱测定法）、内应力双折射的光程差、耐热冲击温度和产品检验规则。
