GB/T 22084《含碱性或其他非酸性电解质的蓄电池和蓄电池组——便携式密封单体蓄电池》分为2个部分，本部分为GB/T 20084的第1部分。
GB/T 22084的本部分规定了适合于任何方位下使用的便携式小方形、圆柱形和扣式密封镉镍单体蓄电池的型号、标志、尺寸、试验和要求。本部分代替了GB/T 11013-1996《碱性二次电池和电池组——圆柱密封镉镍可充单体电池》。
与GB/T 11013-1996相比，本部分的主要更改有以下几方面：
——增加了小方形电池和扣式电池，并规定了其命名方法、型号与尺寸、相关性能要求和型式批准检验程序；
——去掉了电池端子要求；
——增加了R型圆柱形电池，并规定了其特有的性能要求；
——L、M、H、X圆柱形电池的循环寿命由400次提高到500次；
——耐充电寿命试验改称为持续充电耐久性试验；
——T型电池充电接受能力试验温度由40℃提高至55℃，但未规定试验合格判据；
——机械试验按IEC 61959规定；
——型式批准和批接收检验中去掉了机械试验与高温充电接受能力试验。
