本标准规定了采用红外光谱法测定柴油机燃料中脂肪酸甲酯（FAME）体积分数的方法，测定范围为FAME体积分数约为1.7%～22.7%。对FAME含量超过所规定范围的样品及其他中间馏分油样品，也可采用本方法进行测定，但其精密度未经验证。本标准经证实适用于含有符合GB/T 20828要求的FAME样品。为得到可靠的定量数据，样品中应不含有显著量的其他干扰组分，尤其是酯类。这部分干扰组分在定量分析FAME时所用的光谱区中有吸收，能够使此方法得到的数据值偏大。本标准的使用可能包括具有危险性的材料、操作和仪器。本标准没有给出与其使用有关的所有安全问题的说明。本标准的使用者有责任在使用前建立适当的安全保健措施并确定相关规章限制的适用性。
