GB/T 23983-2009 Test method for yellowing resistance of wood coatings
1 Scope
This standard specifies the test method for yellowing resistance of single-layer or multi-layer wood coatings with fluorescent ultraviolet aging equipment.
This standard applies to the test of yellowing resistance of various wood coatings

3 Principle
Conduct artificial weathering test on the coating by using fluorescent ultraviolet equipment, for the purpose of producing agreed radiation exposure energy or agreed exposure time by this equipment, so that one or more properties of the coating can reach a given degree of change. Generally, the property of the exposed coating is compared with that of its unexposed coating (contrast sample) or the that of the coating with known aging property exposed at the same time (reference sample), and these properties are evaluated by the indicators agreed in advance by the parties concerned.
