This standard specifies the principle, terms and definitions, testing equipment and apparatus, sample, testing requirements, evaluation of testing results and testing report for the hydrostatic pressure test of metal tube.
This standard is applicable to the hydrostatic pressure test of steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metal tubes at room temperature to inspect the quality of metal tubes.
2 Principle
Under the conditions of specified testing pressure, load rate and pressure transfer medium, hold the pressure of the metal tube for a certain period of time to inspect the strength and leakage of the metal tube matrix metal and weld.
