1 Scope
This document specifies ordering requirements, manufacturing processes, technical requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates for hot-rolled wire rods used in prestressing steel bars of concrete (hereinafter referred to as "steel bar wire rods") and hot-rolled wire rods for cold-rolled ribbed steel bars (hereinafter referred to as "reinforcing wire rods").

5 Manufacturing Process
5.1 Steelmaking Method
The steel shall be produced by converter or electric arc furnace. For steel bar wire rods, ladle refining shall also be performed.
5.2 Delivery Condition
Wire rods shall be delivered in hot-rolled condition. Upon agreement between the supplier and purchaser and specified in the contract, delivery in other conditions may be arranged.
6.1 Grade and Chemical Composition
6.1.1 Grade and Chemical Composition (Ladle Analysis) for Steel Bar Wire Rods
Shall comply with Table 1.
6.1.2 Grade and Chemical Composition (Ladle Analysis) for Reinforcing Wire Rods
Shall comply with Table 2.
6.1.3 Other Grades and Chemical compositions
Upon agreement between the supplier and purchaser and specified in the contract, wire rods with other grades and chemical compositions may be supplied.
6.1.4 Chemical Composition Allowable Deviations
When chemical analysis is performed on steel billets or wire rods, allowable deviations in chemical composition shall comply with GB/T 222.

6.2 Mechanical and Technological Properties
6.2.1 Steel Bar Wire Rods
Tensile testing shall be conducted on steel bar wire rods, and ** tensile strength** and reduction of area values shall be provided.
Test results shall comply with Table 3.
For other grades, tensile performance requirements shall be agreed upon between the supplier and purchaser.
6.2.2 Reinforcing Wire Rods
Mechanical properties and bending performance (for wire rods with a diameter ≤12 mm) shall comply with Table 4.
