Stainless steel wire strand
1 Scope
This document specifies the classification and labeling, ordering contents, dimensions, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificate of stainless steel wire strands (hereinafter referred to as steel wire strands).
This document is applicable to stainless steel wire strands mainly used for building structure and building decoration, which are composed of several round cross section stainless steel wires (hereinafter referred to as "steel wires"). It may be used as reference for stainless steel wire strands for other purposes.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 8706 and GB/T 24191 and the following apply.
3.1
stainless steel wire strand
steel wire strand made by spirally twisting a certain number of round stainless steel wires in one or more layer(s)
3.2
nominal cross section area of steel wire strand
sum of cross sectional areas of steel wires calculated based on the nominal diameter of steel wires in steel wire strands
4 Classification and labeling
4.1 The section structure of steel wire strands is as shown in Table 1. Any other structure, if required, shall be determined by negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser.
