1 Scope
This standard specifies the definition, performance requirements and test method of plate and label used on road vehicle for specifying the vehicle information.
This standard is applicable to various plates and labels used on road vehicle for specifying vehicle manufacturing information, warning information and manipulation and indicative information.
This standard is not applicable to the vehicle identification directly formed through engraving, etching, casting, spraying or printing on vehicle or vehicle component body or sewing on component body.
This standard is applicable to the non-information vehicle plate and label.
This standard is not applicable to the identification (can be removes before normal use of vehicle) of vehicle or component used in production, transportation and delivery.
Various plates and labels used for vehicle spare parts and assembly may refer to it.
