Women's suits and coats
1 Scope
This document specifies the requirements, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport and storage for the women's suits and coats, and describes the corresponding test method. This document applies to women's suits and coats mainly made of woven fabrics such as pure wool, wool blends and interwoven fabrics and wool-like fabrics.
This document is not applicable to clothing for infants aged 36 months and below.

4 Requirements
4.1 Instructions for use
The instructions for use of the product shall comply with the requirements of GB/T 5296.4, and products for children aged over 3 years and up to 14 years shall also comply with the requirements of GB 31701.
4.2 Size specifications
4.2.1 Size specification shall be set according to the requirements of GB/T 1335.2 and GB/T 1335.3.
4.2.2 The main part dimensions shall be designed independently in accordance with the relevant provisions of GB/T 1335.2, GB/T 1335.3 and GB/T 14304.
4.3 Raw materials
Shell and lining shall meet the relevant requirements of this standard. The linings, sewing threads and other accessories used shall be compatible with the shell; buttons, decorative buttons, zippers and other accessories shall be smooth on the surface, free from burrs, defects, flaws, and free from accessible sharp points and sharp edges. Zippers shall engage and operate smoothly.
4.4 Warp and weft yarn directions
The warp and weft yarn directions of the shell shall meet those specified in Table 1. Heavily milled, brushed, and napped products are not assessed for warp and weft yarn directions. Except for special design.

Front The warp yarns shall be aligned with reference to the neckline width line; skewness is not permitted. The hem shall not curl upward.
Back The warp yarns shall be aligned with reference to the center back line below the waistline; the skewness shall not exceed 0.8. For yarn‑dyed striped or checked fabrics, no skewness is permitted.
Sleeves The warp yarns shall be aligned with reference to the straight line of the front sleeve seam; the skewness of the sleeve panel shall not exceed 1.0.
Top collar The skewness of weft yarns shall not exceed 0.5; for yarn-dyed striped or checked fabrics, no skewness is permitted.
Pocket flap The yarn direction shall be consistent with that of the bodice, and the bias‑cut parts shall be symmetrical left and right.
Facing The warp yarns shall be aligned with reference to the straight front placket line; no skewness is permitted.
4.5 Strip and plaid matching
4.5.1 The skewness of striped or plaid patterns shall not exceed 2 %, except for special design..
4.5.2 For fabrics with directional pile/nap or directional stripes/plaids, the direction shall be consistent throughout the garment; for fabrics with special patterns, the main pattern shall be taken as the reference and the direction shall be consistent throughout the garment.
4.5.3 For products with obvious stripes, plaids or regular patterns, with a width greater than 0.5 cm and up to 1.0 cm (excluding 1.0 cm), the pockets and front body shall match stripes with stripes, plaids with plaids, and patterns with patterns, with a tolerance not exceeding 0.1 cm.
4.5.4 For fabrics with obvious stripes, plaids or regular patterns with a width of 1.0 cm or more, the requirements of Table 2 shall be met. For designs with multiple panels on the front and back body (such as princess seams), below the waistline, plaids shall be horizontally aligned with a tolerance not exceeding 0.3 cm.
