本标准规定了测定纸和纸板挺度的方法。本标准适用范围一般为20mN~10000mN(折合弯曲力矩为2mN・m~1000mN・m)的纸和纸板，但对某些仪器可低至约2mN。本标准也适用于某些挺度较高的材料。本标准仅适用于弯曲角为7�5°或15°的仪器。本标准不适用于瓦楞纸板挺度的测试。
