1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, equipment and materials, test procedures and result judgment of external fire (bonfire) test of explosive substances in chemicals, packages of explosive articles or unpackaged explosive articles.
This standard is applicable to the external fire (bonfire) test of explosive substances in chemicals, packages of explosive articles or unpackaged explosive articles to determine whether there is explosion or hazardous burst, radiant heat, violent combustion, or other harmful hazardous effects in the fire.

For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in Recommendations on the transport of dangerous goods—Model regulations and Recommendations on the transport of dangerous goods—Manual of tests and criteria, as well as the following, apply.
3.1
explosion
chemical reaction or state change that generates high temperature and releases a large amount of gas in a very short time, resulting in high pressure in the surrounding medium
3.2
explosive substances
substance that can produce gas by chemical reaction, and whose temperature, pressure and speed are high enough to cause damage to its surroundings. Pyrotechnic substances are included even if they do not release gas
