This standard is applicable to recirculating ball automobile steering gear and rack and pinion automobile steering gear.

total angle of input shaft of steering gear from one limit position to another limit position, in °

sum of all transmission pair clearances of steering gear, in °

4.1 Performance
4.1.1 The total angle of input shaft shall meet the manufacturer's requirements.
4.1.2 The rack stroke shall meet the manufacturer's requirements.
