1 Scope
This document specifies the classification and basic parameters, requirements, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage for biological microscope products, and describes the corresponding test methods.
This document is applicable to various types of biological microscopes with a mechanical tube length of 160 mm or of the infinity type.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 22055, GB/T 27668, GB/T 43846.1, GB/T 43846.2 and GB/T 43846.3, as well as the following, apply.

A quantity representing the degree (ability) of light absorption by a substance.

4 Classification and basic parameters
4.1 The classification of biological microscopes (hereinafter referred to as "microscopes") is specified in Table 1.
4.2 The connecting dimensions of microscope imaging components shall comply with GB/T 22055.
4.3 The marking of microscope objectives and eyepieces shall comply with GB/T 22056.
4.4 The dimensions and positions of holes on the microscope stage for mounting the specimen mechanical stage or specimen clips (spring clips) shall comply with JB/T 8230.7.
5 Requirements
5.1 Optical and mechanical performance
5.1.1 The clear imaging range (diameter) of the microscope shall not be less than that specified in Table 2, with no phenomenon of one side being clear and the other side being blurred.
5.1.2 When different magnification objectives are interchanged using the objective nosepiece, the objectives shall be parfocal, and the parfocal deviation shall not exceed the range specified in Table 3.
5.1.3 The positioning of the objective nosepiece shall be accurate and stable, and its repeatability error shall meet the following requirements:
a) Low-power popular microscope: ≤ 0.030 mm;
b) High-power popular microscope: ≤ 0.025 mm;
c) Laboratory microscope: ≤ 0.020 mm;
d) Research microscope: ≤ 0.010 mm.
5.1.4 After interchanging different magnification objectives using the objective nosepiece, the following requirements shall be met:
a) Popular microscope: The centre of the original image plane shall not move outside the field of view of the equipped eyepiece;
b) Laboratory and research microscopes: The centre of the original image plane shall not move outside one-half of the field of view of the equipped eyepiece.
5.1.5 The connection between the stage and the microscope stand shall be firm. When a horizontal force of 5 N is applied to the left or right side of the stage, its maximum displacement shall not exceed 0.05 mm. After the force is removed, the stage shall return to its original position, and the deviation relative to the original position shall not exceed 0.005 mm.
5.1.6 When the specimen is moved within a 5 mm × 5 mm range using a movable stage or specimen mechanical stage, the specimen image shall be clear. If refocusing is required, the adjustment amount shall meet the following requirements:
a) Popular microscope: ≤ 0.012 mm;
b) Laboratory and research microscopes: ≤ 0.008 mm.
5.1.7 When using the fine focusing mechanism and observing with a 10× objective, the displacement of the image plane centre within the depth of field shall meet the following requirements:
a) Popular microscope (high power): ≤ 0.1 mm;
b) Laboratory and research microscopes: ≤ 0.05 mm.
5.1.8 The backlash of the fine focusing mechanism shall meet the following requirements:
a) Popular microscope (low power): ≤ 0.016 mm;
b) Popular microscope (high power): ≤ 0.008 mm;
c) Laboratory microscope: ≤ 0.004 mm;
d) Research microscope: ≤ 0.002 mm.
5.1.9 The magnification deviation of the microscope objective system shall not exceed ±5 %.
5.1.10 The magnification deviation of the microscope eyepiece shall not exceed ±5 %.
5.1.11 The optical axes of the illumination system and the observation system shall be aligned. The illumination in the field of view shall be uniform, with no phenomenon of one side being bright and the other side being dark, or of light blocking. When the condenser is raised to its highest position, the top of the condenser shall be 0.03 mm to 0.4 mm below the stage surface (not applicable to long working distance condensers).
5.1.12 When the microscope is equipped with a swing-out condenser, and the top lens swing frame is repeatedly swung into the optical path, the axis of the top lens shall be coaxial with the axis of the entire condenser, and the axis deviation in the focal plane of the condenser shall not exceed 0.02 mm.
