本部分适用于装有非导电(绝缘)部件的所有类型和规格的MEWP,包括设计和试验都满足制造商牌照一致的特定电气性能的绝缘部件。此类MEWP预定用于运送人员、工具和设备至工作位置,以便在绝缘臂架段上方的工作平台上进行作业。
本部分包括结构设计计算、稳定性条款的应用、施工及装有非导电(绝缘)部件的MEWP首次使用前所进行的安全检查和试验。指出了使用装有非导电(绝缘)部件的MEWP的各种危险,也提出了消除或减少这些危险的办法。
