This document replaces GB/T 30195-2013 Test method for measuring impact performance of motor vehicle tyres. In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 30195-2013: ——The application scope of the standard has been modified, (see Clause 1 hereof; Clause 1 of Edition 2013); ——Some terms have been deleted (see 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.7, 3.8, 3.9, 3.10, 3.11 of Edition 2013); ——Some terms have been added (see 3.4, 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, 3.8, 3.9, 3.10, 3.11 hereof); ——The pendulum length and impact mass have been modified [see a) in 4.1 hereof; a) in 4.1 of Edition 2013]; ——The angle sensors and their requirements for error have been added [(see j) in 4.1 hereof)]; ——The inflation pressure gauges and their requirements for accuracy have been added (see 4.2 hereof); ——The measuring devices for impact bulge and their requirements for accuracy have been added (see 4.3 hereof); ——The image recorders have been added (see 4.4 hereof); ——The requirement that "the test tyres shall meet the requirements of GB 9743 and GB 9744" has been deleted (see 5.1 of Edition 2013); ——The parking time of test tyres after vulcanization has been added, and the requirements for test rims have been modified (see 5.1 hereof; 5.1 of Edition 2013); ——The number of test tyres and the requirements for marking test points and serial numbering have been added (see 5.4 hereof); ——The test procedure has been modified (see Clause 6 hereof; Clause 6 of Edition 2013); ——The requirements for data processing have been added (see Clause 7 hereof); ——The requirement that the test report shall record "impact energy, impact bulge height", "impact bulge energy or 175° corresponding impact energy, tyre impact resistance factor" [see f), g) in Clause 8 hereof]. Test method for measuring impact resistance of passenger car tyres - Pendulum striker method 1 Scope This document describes the test equipment and accuracy, test conditions and preparation, test procedures, data processing, and test report for testing tyre impact resistance using the pendulum striker method. This document is applicable to the test of impact resistance of new pneumatic tyres for passenger cars. 2 Normative references The following contents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies. GB/T 3487 Rims for passenger car GB/T 6326 Tyre terms and definitions 3 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 6326 and the following apply. 3.1 drop height drop height of pendulum gravity center 3.2 drop angle angle of pendulum relative to the angle at free suspension when the striker reaches the drop height 3.3 striker mass center point of intersection between the vertical line passing through the fulcrum of the pendulum and the horizontal line passing through the front-end center of the striker, where the pendulum is suspended freely 3.4 striker angle tilted angle of the intersection line between the center plane of the striker and the front curve surface of the striker, relative to the center plane of the wheel Note: As shown in Figure 1 a). 3.5 camber angle CA projection of the striker angle on a horizontal plane passing through the wheel rotation axis Note: As shown in Figure 1 b). 4 Test equipment and accuracy 4.1 Impact test equipment (see Figure A.1, Annex A) includes: a) Pendulum with a pivot at one end and a swing arm with a striker at the other end, length (1 830.0 ± 18.3) mm, impact mass (62.0 ± 3.0) kg (As shown in Figures A.2 and A.3); Note: The impact mass is the mass acting on the tyre by the striker. b) Frame, firm component used to support the pendulum fulcrum; c) Device for lifting and releasing the pendulum; d) Locking device, clutch device that locks the pendulum after a single impact to prevent secondary impact; e) Fulcrum with less friction (self-aligning spherical bearing); f) Striker, a raised impactor bolted to the pendulum, used to impact the tyre rim assembly (see Figure A.4, the technical requirements shall be in accordance with Annex B); g) Striker support (see Figure A.5); h) Striker assembly (see Figure A.6); i) Base, firm component used to fix the wheel holding fixture; j) Angle sensor, with error not greater than ±0.1°;
