Note 4: For convenience, "Chinese synonyms" is listed first in this document. 2 Normative references There are no normative references in this document. 3 Terms and definitions The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 Manufacture and process 3.1.1 Modificationalteration Any process in which the geometry, mechanical properties or working characteristics of a fastener are changed after the original manufacturing process. [Source: GB/T 90.3--2010, 3.2, with modifications] 3.1.2 final inspection The inspection of a finished fastener that has completed all manufacturing processes (including surface treatment). 3.2 Batch and traceability 3.2.1 Manufacturing lot The number of fasteners of the same mark (including product grade, performance class, type and specification), manufactured from bar, wire, wire or plate from the same furnace, using the same process, including the same heat treatment and/or surface treatment (if any), at the same time or in successive cycles. Note: The same heat treatment cycle or surface treatment: For continuous production, this means using the same heat treatment cycle without any modifications; 3.3 Characteristics and tests 3.3.1 Characteristicscharacteristic The specified dimensions, geometry, chemical composition, physical and mechanical properties, workability or other identifiable product characteristics. Examples: head height, carbon content, colour, tensile strength, torque - clamping force relationship. 3.3.2 Non-destructive test A test to determine one or more properties after which the fastener can still be used. 3.4 Quality, inspection and sampling 3.4.1 zero defect concept The goal of having no defects that could impair the intended or intended use of a fastener within a given production batch. Note: For further information see GB/T 18253 or other relevant technical conditions (e.g. EN 10204). 3.5.2 Inspection document for fasteners in accordance with GB/T 39310 Declaration of Conformity F2.1 or test reports F2.2, F3.1 and F3.2. 3.5.3 Non-specific inspection for fasteners is an inspection carried out by the manufacturer of fasteners in accordance with a self-defined procedure to verify that the fasteners comply with the technical requirements of the product standard, the order and/or other specified requirements, provided that the fasteners inspected and tested are not necessarily from the production lot supplied. 3.5.4 The manufacturer or distributor of fasteners shall carry out an inspection of the fasteners from the production batch supplied prior to delivery to verify that the fasteners comply with the technical requirements of the product standard, the order and/or other specified requirements. 3.6 Fastener supply chain 3.6.1 Fastener supplier fastener supplier is an organisation that supplies fasteners. Note: The supplier may be a manufacturer or a distributor. 3.6.2 fastener manufacturer fastener manufacturer An organization that produces fasteners and places them on the market under its name or logo, or places fasteners marked with its name or logo on the market.
