This standard applies to high purity arenaceous quartz used in photovoltaic applications, which is used in quartz products such as diffusion tubes, carriers and arc crucibles for polycrystalline silicon and monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic production. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies. GB/T 3284 Analytical method of the chemical composition in the quartz glass SJ 3228.7 Determination of Chromium in high purity arenaceous quartz SJ/T 10380 Acid washed quartz sand for use in industry 3 Technical requirements 3.1 Appearance The high purity arenaceous quartz used in photovoltaic applications shall be white particles with a certain degree of transparency and no different color. 3.2 Particle size The particle size shall be between 70 μm and 350 μm, and the cumulative mass fraction in this particle size range shall be greater than or equal to 90%. The cumulative mass fraction of particle size less than 100 μm or greater than 300 μm shall be less than 1%. 3.3 Silicon dioxide content The silicon dioxide content therein shall be greater than or equal to 99.99%, and the ignition loss shall be less than or equal to 0.01%. 3.4 Content of impurity element The total content of impurity elements therein shall be less than or equal to 25 μg/g, of which the total content of potassium, lithium and sodium is less than 2.5 μg/g, and the content of each impurity element shall be as specified in Table 1.
