1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification, dimension, appearance, weight, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packing, quality certificate, transportation and storage of the cast iron pipe fittings.
This standard is applicable to the gray cast iron pipe fittings with socket connection and flange connection and the gray cast iron pipe fittings with flexible mechanical joint, both for transmitting water and coal gas. The use of cast iron pipe fittings shall refer to relevant piping design technical requirements and construction specifications.
Pressure flange, bolt, hexagonal nut, rubber ring and supporting ring used for flexible mechanical joint gray cast iron pipe fittings shall meet the requirements of Appendix A, Appendix B and Appendix C in GB/T 6483-2008.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification, dimension, appearance, weight, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packing, quality certificate, transportation and storage of the cast iron pipe fittings.
This standard is applicable to the gray cast iron pipe fittings with socket connection and flange connection and the gray cast iron pipe fittings with flexible mechanical joint, both for transmitting water and coal gas. The use of cast iron pipe fittings shall refer to relevant piping design technical requirements and construction specifications.
