1 Scope
This standard specifies technical features for baby carriers, including requirements, inspection methods, use instructions, inspection rules as well as packaging, transportation and storage.
This standard is applicable to carriers for baby (aged 4 months or more) whose head has certain upright support force and can lean against adult body vertically.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions given in GB/T 15557 as well as the following apply.
3.1
baby carriers
the product made with textile and (or) other accessories and worn on human body for fixing baby aged 36 months or less
3.2
leg opening
opening on carrier for the passing and stretching of baby's legs
3.3
filling
materials such as wadding fiber and sponge with certain compressive resilience and flexibility and filled between two layers of fabric for buffering purpose
4 Requirements
4.1 Appearance quality
Appearance quality shall meet the requirements given in Table 1.

Accessory It is smooth in surface and free from defect
The zipper shall be zipped up easily, without dislocation, teeth falling and color losing
Button shall not fall off; metal parts like metal button shall be rust-free, burr-free and free from missing plating
4.2 Material
4.2.1 Requirements for textile fabrics
Safety requirement for all textile fabrics on carrier shall meet the requirements given in Table 2.
