GB/T 36276-2023 Lithium ion battery for electrical energy storage
1 Scope
This document specifies the requirements for the appearance, dimension and mass, electrical performance, environmental adaptability, durability and safety performance of lithium ion batteries for electrical energy storage (hereinafter referred to as "lithium ion batteries"), describes the corresponding test methods, and specifies the coding, normal operating environment, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage, etc.
This document is applicable to the design, manufacture, test, detection, operation, maintenance and overhaul of lithium ion batteries for electrical energy storage.

3 Terms, definitions and symbols
3.1 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in DL/T 2528 and the following apply.

rated power charging-discharging cycles
guaranteed number of cycles when a battery is charged and discharged at rated power under specified conditions until its charging and discharging energy decays to the rated charging and discharging energy
3.1.2
nominal voltage of battery
voltage value that marks or identifies a kind of battery
3.1.3
initialized charging
process that a battery is discharged to the discharging cut-off condition and then charged to the charging cut-off condition under specified conditions
3.1.4
initialized discharging
process that a battery is charged to the charging cut-off condition and then discharged to the discharging cut-off condition under specified conditions
3.1.5
rate charging and discharging
process of charging and discharging a battery with a power value higher than the rated power under specified conditions
3.1.6
shell
encapsulating component designed to prevent the internal materials and elements of the cell from direct contact with the exterior
3.1.7
fire
phenomenon of sustained combustion occurring at any part of the battery
Note: Fire does not include spark, flash, or arc discharge phenomenon.

explosion
phenomenon of rupture of the shell or battery module housing, accompanied by a sound, and the ejection of main components including solid materials

liquid leakage
phenomenon that the liquid inside the battery leaks to the outside of the shell
3.1.10
adiabatic temperature rise
phenomenon that the heat generated from the inside of the cell or absorbed from its outside in an adiabatic environment causes the temperature of the cell to rise
3.2 Symbols
For the purposes of this document, the following symbols apply.
Eic: The initial charging energy, W·h for the cell, kW·h for the battery module and kW·h or MW·h for the battery cluster. Its numerical value shall be rounded off to no more than two decimal places.
Eid: The initial discharging energy, W·h for the cell, kW·h for the battery module and kW·h or MW·h for the battery cluster. Its numerical value shall be rounded off to no more than two decimal places.
Erc: The rated charging energy, W·h for the cell, kW·h for the battery module and kW·h or MW·h for the battery cluster. Its numerical value is equal to the product of the rated charging power and the nominal charging duration, and shall be rounded off to no more than two decimal places.
Erd: The rated discharging energy, W·h for the cell, kW·h for the battery module and kW·h or MW·h for the battery cluster. Its numerical value is equal to the product of the rated discharging power and the nominal discharging duration, and shall be rounded off to no more than two decimal places.
t: The nominal charging duration. Its numerical value shall be rounded off to no more than two decimal places.
t': The nominal discharging duration. Its numerical value shall be rounded off to no more than two decimal places.
Prc: The rated charging power, W for the cell, kW for the battery module and kW or MW for the battery cluster. Its numerical value shall be rounded off to no more than two decimal places.
Prd: The rated discharging power, W for the cell, kW for the battery module and kW or MW for the battery cluster. Its numerical value shall be rounded off to no more than two decimal places.
Unom: The nominal voltage, V. Its numerical value shall be rounded off to no more than two decimal places.
wvd: The volumetric energy density, W·h/L. Its numerical value shall be rounded off to no more than two decimal places.
wgd: The mass energy density, W·h/kg. Its numerical value shall be rounded off to no more than two decimal places.
