[GB/T 12903-2008, Definition 5.1.16] 3.4 particle filtration efficiency capacity of mask body for filtering particle under specified conditions Note: It is expressed as a percentage. 3.5 bacterial filtration efficiency capacity of mask body for filtering particle with bacteria under specified conditions Note: It is expressed as a percentage. 3.6 particle protective performance capacity of mask for filtering particle under specified conditions Note: It is expressed as a percentage. 3.7 air penetration resistance resistance value of air flowing through the mask body under specified conditions Note: It is expressed in pascals (Pa). 4 Classification and specification 4.1 Classification Children masks are classified by performance into children protective mask (F) and children hygiene mask (W). 4.2 Specification Children masks are classified by head and face size of children of different age groups into small (S), medium (M) and large (L) ones. 5 Technical requirements 5.1 Basic requirements 5.1.1 Masks shall be able to cover the mouth, nose and lower jaw safely and firmly without peculiar smell and shall not significantly affect the visual field. 5.1.2 The raw materials for masks shall not use those that are known to cause skin irritation or other adverse reactions. They shall not undergo chlorine bleaching. The residual amount of other restricted substances shall meet the relevant requirements. The materials used shall be such that the masks do not break or deform during the normal service life. Note: Mask suppliers should be able to prove that their materials meet the requirements and may prove that the textile materials used for masks meet the requirements of Class 4.2A in GB 31701-2015 by accepting inspection or providing test reports. 5.1.3 Ties shall not be used for masks. Adjustable mask strips should be used. 5.1.4 Masks shall be easy to wear and remove, and, in as worn condition, pose no obvious pressure or tenderness and have inconsiderable influence on the head movement. 5.1.5 For masks equipped with nose clips, the nose clips shall be made of plastic materials. 5.1.6 For masks equipped with breather valves, the components inside shall not fall off during normal use. 5.2 Appearance quality requirements 5.2.1 The inner material of masks in direct contact with the skin shall not be printed or dyed. 5.2.2 The mask surface shall be free from exposed metal, damage, oil stain, deformation and other obvious defects. 5.3 Requirements for inherent quality With regard to inherent quality, masks shall in accordance with those specified in Table 1.
