1 Scope
Except for the following modifications, Chapter 1 of GB/T 4214.1—2017 applies.
1.1 Scope
1.1.1 General
Additions:
This document applies to room air conditioners (hereinafter referred to as air conditioners) with free air supply type for household and similar purposes, using air-cooled or water-cooled condensers and fully enclosed motor-compressors, with rated cooling capacity not exceeding 14,000 W, intended to create indoor comfort environments. It also applies to mobile air conditioners (including split and integrated types) with rated cooling capacity ≤14,000 W, and dehumidifiers using motor-driven vapor compression refrigeration cycles.
This document does not apply to:
Multi-connect air conditioning units
Ducted air conditioners
Unit air conditioners
1.1.2 Noise Types
Revision:
Methods listed in GB/T 6881.2—2017, GB/T 6881.3—2002, and GB/T 3767—2016 may be used for measuring noise emitted by room air conditioners.
1.1.3 Source Dimensions
Revision:
The method specified in GB/T 3767—2016 applies to sound sources of any size. When using GB/T 6881.2—2017 or GB/T 6881.3—2002, ensure the maximum dimensions of the tested air conditioner meet the requirements specified in Clause 1.2 of GB/T 6881.2—2017 and Clause 1.3 of GB/T 6881.3—2002.
2 Normative References
Except for the following modifications, Chapter 2 of GB/T 4214.1—2017 applies.

3 Terms and Definitions
Except for the following modifications, Chapter 3 of GB/T 4214.1—2017 applies.
Additions:
3.101 Mobile Air Conditioner
An equipment that can be flexibly moved between different usage areas to directly provide processed air to enclosed spaces, rooms, or areas. It mainly includes refrigeration systems for cooling and dehumidification, as well as air circulation and purification devices, and may also include heating and ventilation devices.
[Source: GB/T 22257—2008, 3.1]
3.102 Multi-connect Air Conditioner
A device that provides processed air to multiple indoor units.
Note: Primarily consists of one outdoor unit connected to one or more indoor units, forming a system that can work simultaneously, partially, or individually.

4 Measurement Methods and Acoustic Environment
Except for the following modifications, Chapter 4 of GB/T 4214.1—2017 applies.
4.1 General
Additions:
Noise testing of air conditioners (excluding mobile air conditioners) shall be conducted under the rated cooling and/or heating (high temperature) conditions specified in Table 2 of GB/T 7725—2022.
For multi-connect air conditioners:
Measure noise of each indoor unit in single-unit operation
Measure outdoor unit noise in full-unit operation
For split-type mobile air conditioners and dual-duct mobile air conditioners, testing shall be conducted under the rated cooling and/or heating (high temperature) conditions specified in Table 6 of GB/T 22257—2008.
For single-duct mobile air conditioners, testing shall be conducted under the rated cooling and/or heating conditions specified in Table 6 of GB/T 22257—2008.
Noise testing of dehumidifiers shall be conducted under nominal conditions specified in Table 2 of GB/T 19411—2024.
