GB/T 4214 consists of the following seven parts under the general title Test method for noise of household and similar electrical appliances: —Part 1: General requirements; —Part 2: Particular requirements for vacuum cleaners; —Part 3: Particular requirements for dishwashers; —Part 4: Particular requirements for washing machines and spin extractors; —Part 5: Particular requirements for electric shavers; —Part 6: Particular requirements for electric hair care appliances; —Part 7: Particular requirements for tumble dryers; This is part 4 of GB/T 4214. This part is intended to be used in conjunction with GB/T 4214.1-2017. The clauses stating "applicable” mean that corresponding clauses of GB/T 4214.1-2017 are applicable to this part; for those stating "replacement", the clauses of this part shall prevail; those stating "addition" mean that not only the corresponding clauses in GB/T 4214.1-2017, but also the added clauses of this part must be complied. This part is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This standard replaces GB/T 4214.4-2008 Household and similar electrical appliances—Test code for determination of airborne acoustical noise—Particular requirements for washing machines and spin extractors. In addition to editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 4214.4-2008: —The clauses of “Measurement uncertainty” and “Standard deviation for declaration and verification” are added (see 1.3 and 1.101); —The definitions of standard test load and standard test programme are modified (see Clause 3; Clause 3 of Edition 2008); —The test enclosure is modified as those specified in GB/T 4214.1-2017 (see 6.5.5; 6.5.5 of Edition 2008); —The contents of report are modified (see Clause 10; Clause 10 of Edition 2008). This part is identical to IEC 60704-2-4:2011 Household and similar electrical appliances—Test code for the determination of airborne acoustical noise—Part 2-4: Particular requirements for washing machines and spin extractors by means of translation. Editorial changes have been made in this part as follows: —In order to unify the names of parts of GB/T 4214, this part is renamed as “Test method for noise of household and similar electrical appliances—Particular requirements for washing machines and spin extractors”. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. The issuing body of this document shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights. This part was proposed by China National Light Industry Council. This part is under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee on Household Electric Appliances of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 46). The previous editions of this part are as follows: —GB/T 4214.4-2008.
