1 Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, markings and instructions for use, warnings, etc. for child protection products at home.
This document is applicable to protection products used for children aged from 0 to 48 months at home, including:
——Anti-drop articles, including anti-fall helmets, anti-fall pillows, and mats for children.
——Anti-collision articles, including anti-collision strips (angles), anti-collision wraps, and anti-collision covers for door handles.
——Anti-opening articles for children, including safety locks for cupboard (including safety locks for cupboard, cabinet, drawer, refrigerator, etc.), safety locks for door and window, door handle stoppers, and protective covers for door rotating switch.
——Protective articles for socket-outlet, including protective covers for socket hole, and protective covers for socket-outlet.
——Anti-jamming door stoppers.
This document is not applicable to protection products at home that are not specifically intended for use by children, such as door holders, door stoppers, and safety locks (crescent locks) for sliding window.
Note: Annex A lists examples of the scope of application of child protection products at home.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
child protection product at home
protection equipment product for use by children aged from 0 to 48 months in crawling, toddling and other home activities, to provide protection when they are falling down or colliding with something, to prevent them from opening certain objects, or to avoid squeezing, electric shock and other injuries to them
3.2
anti-drop articles
protection products designed to prevent children from accidental falls and injuries when they are learning to crawl, sit or walk and do other activities at home

3.2.1
anti-fall helmet
helmet made of soft cushioning material and without a hard outer shell, which is intended for children aged from 5 to 24 months to wear on their heads, so as to prevent them from hitting their heads when they fall down or are knocked over
3.2.2
anti-fall pillow
product intended for children aged from 5 to 24 months to carry on their shoulders or backs, so as to prevent them from hitting the back of the head or other parts of the body when they fall backwards
3.2.3
mat for children
soft protection product intended to be laid on the floor at home, so that children can play, crawl and walk on it, preventing them from directly impacting the ground and getting injured
3.2.4
cushion coat
formfitting cushion used to absorb impact energy
3.2.5
pad
pad that comes in direct contact with the children to make the children comfortable
3.2.6
retention system
a complete set of devices to ensure that products such as anti-fall helmet and anti-fall pillow are securely worn
