GB/T 45370-2025 Textiles - Determination of yarn electrical conductivity
1 Scope
This document describes a method for determining the yarn electrical conductivity by measuring its electrical resistance per unit.
This document is applicable to yarns made by blending or compositing electro conductive fibers with other fibers.
This document is not applicable to yarns in which the electro conductive fibers are arranged in a core structure within the yarn.
2 Normative references
The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition (including any amendments) applies.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
electrical resistance per unit
resistivity per unit length of yarn
Note: It is expressed in Ω/cm.
3.2
electro conductive fibers
fibers partially or wholly made of conductive materials or semiconductive materials such as metals or conductive organics
Note: Electro conductive fibers include conductive staple fibers and conductive filaments.
[Source: GB/T 4146.2-2017, 4.14]
3.3
electro conductive yarn
yarn containing a certain proportion of electro conductive fibers with electrical resistance per unit not exceeding 1.0×1011 Ω/cm
[Source: FZ/T 12071-2021, 3.3]
4 Principle
The yarn is wound around a specimen board in a parallel arrangement with equal spacing and fixed length. The yarn is then connected in parallel to form resistors of equal resistance. By measuring the resistance of the parallel-connected resistors, the electrical resistance per unit of the yarn is calculated, which indicates the electrical conductivity of the yarn.
