This document specifies the technical requirements for the intelligence of measurement and control equipment in the manufacturing field, and describes the corresponding test methods.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 43780-2024 and the following apply.
3.1 measurement and control equipment
Equipment and systems applied in processes such as design, production/manufacturing, management and service, directly or indirectly acting on target products, equipment or industrial production processes, possessing at least one of the functions of measurement, control and actuation.
NOTE: In this document, measurement and control equipment includes the following types:
Detection type: including transmitters, sensors, etc.;
Control type: including programmable controllers (PLC), distributed control systems (DCS), machine tool numerical control systems, robot controllers, etc.;
Actuation type: including pneumatic units, electric units, hydraulic units, actuators, etc.;
Composite type: equipment and systems possessing two or more functions among detection, control and actuation.
3.2 intelligent measurement and control equipment
Measurement and control equipment applied in processes such as design, production/manufacturing, management and service, capable of achieving the intended functions of the equipment and possessing one or more intelligent functions.
NOTE 1: Intelligent measurement and control equipment is measurement and control equipment that has been intelligently designed, optimized or retrofitted, possessing intelligent functions.
NOTE 2: Intelligent functions include intelligent perception, interconnection and integration, monitoring and diagnosis, analysis and decision-making, adaptation and optimization control, interaction and collaboration, digital twin, etc.
4 Functional Architecture of Intelligent Measurement and Control Equipment
The typical functional architecture of intelligent measurement and control equipment is shown in Figure 1. The functions of intelligent measurement and control equipment are accomplished by the collaboration of hardware and software, and can achieve deep integration control applications such as end-cloud collaboration or interconnection collaboration with the manufacturing cloud, manufacturing execution system (MES), other equipment and other systems in the intelligent manufacturing process. Safety issues such as functional safety and information security shall be fully considered throughout the intelligent measurement and control process.
The physical structure model of intelligent measurement and control equipment consists of a perception acquisition module, an edge-side intelligent module, an interconnection integration module, a human-machine interaction module, and a control actuation module.
The specific contents include the following:
a) Perception acquisition module: Acquires and perceives specific information of objects such as products/equipment/environment during the manufacturing process through sensors or devices.
b) Edge-side intelligent module: Processes, analyzes and optimizes decisions based on collected and perceived data using methods such as intelligent algorithms; implements field communication and control interfaces for equipment modules; diagnoses and calibrates information such as equipment status, perception and control; stores all necessary information, such as configuration parameters.
c) Interconnection integration module: Interconnects and integrates with dedicated software for intelligent measurement and control equipment, or with the manufacturing cloud, MES, other equipment or other systems.
d) Human-machine interaction module: Supports human-machine interaction interfaces for convenient field configuration and operation.
e) Control actuation module: Responds to control instructions from the edge-side intelligent module and outputs corresponding signals to control the controlled objects related to the production process.
5 Technical Requirements
5.1 General Requirements
Intelligent measurement and control equipment shall comply with the relevant provisions of the technical requirements in Chapter 4 of GB/T 43780-2024.
5.2 Safety Requirements
The realization of intelligent functions of intelligent measurement and control equipment shall comply with the requirements of the equipment's own physical safety, electrical safety, functional safety and information security. Specific safety requirements shall comply with the provisions of GB/Z 34124, GB/T 20438 (all parts), GB/T 21109 (all parts) and IEC 62443-4-2.
