1 Scope
This part of GB/T 5907 defines the common terms and definitions related to fire fighting and rescue.
This part is applicable to fire management, fire fighting and rescue, fire standardization, fire science research, teaching, consulting, publishing and other related work fields.

2.1 Organization and management
2.1.1
fire area
urban and rural areas which a fire station is liable to protect
2.1.2
fire brigade
fire protection organization with trained personnel, appliances and equipment for fire fighting and emergency rescue, established according to laws or as needed.
2.1.3
public security fire brigade
professional fire brigade (2.1.2) established in accordance with national laws and regulations, subordinated to public security organization, and undertaking fire fighting and emergency rescue work
2.1.4
full-time fire brigade
professional fire brigade (2.1.2) established in accordance with national laws and regulations, subordinate to local governments, enterprises and institutions, and undertaking fire fighting and emergency rescue work
2.1.5
volunteer fire brigade
fire brigade (2.1.2) established as needed by government organs, organizations, enterprises, institutions, Township People's governments, villagers' committees and residents' committees, undertaking self prevention and self rescue of fire
