本标准规定了超声波A型脉冲反射技术，检验变形铝、镁合金产品的方法概述和检验人员、环境、设备与材料、样品准备、检验方法要求和记录、报告、结果说明等内容。
　　本标准规定的方法适用于铝、镁合金轧制、挤压、锻造产品的超声波检验，适用的产品规格如下：
　　--厚度不小于6mm的板材、锻件；
　　--横截面积不小于70mm2、厚度不小于6mm的型材；
　　--内切圆直径不小于10mm的圆形、方形、六角形棒材；
　　--壁厚不小于20mm的厚壁管材。
　　本标准不适用于铸件、焊接件及夹层结构。
