1 Scope This Standard specifies the determination of carbon and sulfur content in the iron ores by high frequency combustion with infrared absorption method. This Standard is applicable to the determination of carbon and sulfur content in the natural iron ore, iron ore concentrate, sinter, pellet and their products, with the determination scope (mass fraction) of 0.01%~2.5% for the carbon and 0.001%~2.0%" for the sulfur. 2 Normative References The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this standard, constitute provisions of this standard.
