本部分代替GB/T 7025.2-1997《电梯主参数及轿厢、井道、机房的型式与尺寸 第2部分：Ⅳ类电梯》
本部分规定了安装Ⅳ类电梯所要求的尺寸，在3.2.4中定义了Ⅳ类电梯通常是用来运送货物。
本部分适用于电力和液压驱动的电梯。井道的水平尺寸通常由出入口和驱动方式决定，包括配有水平和垂直自动滑动门的电梯。
对于其他参数，制造商也应该考虑。
