本标准代替GB/T 9808-1988《水文水井钻探管材系列》。
本标准规定了钻探用无缝钢管的代号、订货内容、尺寸、外形、重量、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则、包装、标志和质量证明书。
本标准适用于地质岩心钻探、水井钻探、水文地质钻探、工程钻探的套管料、岩心管料及套管接箍料用无缝钢管，普通钻杆料及钻杆接头料用无缝钢管，钢粒钻头料用无颖钢管，绳索取心钻杆料及钻杆接头料用无缝钢管，钻铤料及钻铤锁接头料用无缝钢管。
