本标准适用于水果和蔬菜在冷库贮藏中的有关物理因素的定义和有关测量方法的解释。 本标准与ＧＢ／Ｔ９８２９—１９８８相比主要修改如下：
———按照ＧＢ／Ｔ１．１《标准化工作导则　第１部分：标准的结构和编写规则》和ＧＢ／Ｔ２０００１．４《标准编写规则　第４部分：化学分析方法》对ＧＢ／Ｔ９８２９—１９８８进行了结构调整和文字修改。
———增加了附录Ａ、附录Ｂ和附录Ｃ。
———修改了“长期贮藏的最适温度”的定义。
