Endurance test method for bearing of areo-engine shaft
1 Scope
This standard specifies the method for conducting endurance tests on the bearings of aero-engine shafts using a bearing test rig.
This standard is applicable to the bearings of aero-engine shafts (hereinafter referred to as "bearings"). It may also serve as a reference for the endurance tests of accessory bearings and transmission bearings of aero-engines.
2 Normative references
The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated references, subsequent amendments (excluding corrections), or revisions, of any of these publications do not apply to this standard. However parties using this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the normative documents indicated below. For undated references, the latest edition of the normative document referred to applies.
GJB 269A The general specification for aerospace rolling bearings
GJB 7268 Program and request for test and operation life of aeroengine bearings
3 Content and objective
On the bearing test rig, conduct a specified duration of test evaluation on bearings by simulating the main operating conditions of the bearings in an aero-engine (hereinafter referred to as the "engine"), such as rotational speed, load, temperature, assembly, and lubrication conditions, thus providing a basis for the on-engine test run of the bearings.
