《化工装置自控工程设计规定》（HG/T 20636～20639）是根据原化学工业部建设协调司(1996)化建标发90号文“1996年设计基础工作计划”的任务，由全国化工自动控制设计技术中心站（原化学工业部自动控制设计技术中心站，下同）组织，为推行国际通用设计体制和方法(简称“新体制”)，总结国内外自控工程设计经验，与国际接轨而编写的。
